2 - 3:30 pm, Saturday January 21, 2012

Ferruccio Busoni (1868-1924), pianist, composer and writer was an avant-garde spirit close to the Futurists. His meditations led Varese to invent electronic music. We will explore his surviving recordings, writings, letters, and a rare diary kept by a pupil and fellow bibliophile visiting him daily during his last years.
